As regards transportation links and access roads, its strategic location halfway between Madrid and the Mediterranean coast, is what makes Albacete a communications hub.
The city is integrated into the high-speed trains network, AVE, and has the largest railway station in Castile-La Mancha.
At the southern end of the city is the airport where one can operate any type of aircraft whatsoever.
To the north of the city is located the Exhibition and Conference Centre which is a key venue for the industrial, tourist and commercial revitalization of the city.
Albacete is within an hour and a half travelling distance away from the seaports of Valencia, Alicante and Cartagena. The remaining cities are at a distance of up to seven hours away.
